Turkey’s government plans to establish a new intelligence structure following last month’s failed coup attempt, Prime Minister Binali Yildirim has said.
"Some countries keep foreign intelligence and domestic intelligence separate. Some countries bring them all under one roof. There are many options in the world. We will continue with our good habits and lose the bad ones," Anadolu Agency quoted Yildirim as saying in a televised interview on Tuesday evening.
When asked whether the intelligence restructuring will be made under the National Intelligence Agency (MIT) or another unit above it, Yildirim said that the teams tasked with finding a formula for the restructuring of intelligence were working “with a variety of options".
