The highest-ranking Bulgarian tennis player, Tsvetana Pironkova, has advanced in the global ranking by moving 2 spots up, the Women's Tennis Association website shows.

As of Monday, July 18, she ranks 65th, up from her previous 67th place.

The result has been part of a comeback for Pironkova, who had dropped out of Top 100 for a brief period of time in May, but has been gradually recovering in June and July.

By contrast, Grigor Dimitrov, the highest-ranking male tennis player of Bulgaria, has dropped three spots in the ATP ranking, currently holding the 40th position, a year-and-a-half after having been part of the world's top 10.
