UK voters' decision to leave the European Union is unlikely to affect Bulgaria substantially, the country's Finance Minister Vladislav Goranov has said.

Goranov has told Kapital newspaper Bulgaria might even benefit from this week's developments as Europe could pursue further integration in response to Euroskepticism, triggering a speedy accession into Schengen and the Eurozone.

"Our trade turnover with Britain is relatively small and no direct effect is expected in this sense," he has added.

As a short-term result, Brexit might cause consumption within the EU to shrink and curb economic growth.

In the long-term, countries with substantial trade turnover will be affected negatively, Goranov has added.

National statistics data shows Bulgaria's trade with the UK amounted to BGN 956.4 M in exports and BGN 868. M in imports, much below the turnover with neighboring Romania and Greece, but also with other EU members such as Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, Spain, and Poland.

Primitive EU lobbysm had stopped the production of classic electric lamps with hot wire... criminal EU lobyism had stopped the production of classical mercury thermometers for medical purposes and many people died.. indeed died because of the electronic thermometers used in hospitals.. how can EU citizen demand his rights for his relative that have died because the doctors systematically recorded 2 degree Celsius less body temperature in the hospital.. ?? because of cheap digital thermometer IMPOSED by EU commission in favor of particular industrial lobbyist??

By 2016 all coal mining in EU had to stop!!.. by EU directive.. it still continues because criminal lobism and stupidity were the source of this idiotic directive.. EU lost billions because of wrong energy politics.. and the idiots that did that are still ruling in EU.. billions from the real economy and the potential of EU countries such as Portugal and Bulgaria were lost because of maniacal green energy and green debt creation pimped by EU.. and it will continue..Merkel\'s invitation of illegal immigrants is outrageous..the way EU handled the Ukranian crisis is stupid and cruel.. the negotiations with Turkey disregarding many EU state are outrageous... name it..
