The United States, Britain, and France have issued advisories urging their citizens to avoid travel to Iran, Lebanon, Israel, and the Palestinian territories in the coming days
A petition calling for a second EU referendum in the UK has gathered over 3 million signatures.
Available on the British Parliament's website, it was launched on May 24, according to a House of Commons spokesperson quoted by the BBC.
Nearly all signatures, however, were gathered following a move by 52% of British voters to vote for their country to leave the European Union on Thursday. Before the result was announced on Friday morning, it only had 22 signatures.
"We the undersigned call upon HM Government to implement a rule that if the Remain or Leave vote is less than 60%, based on a turnout less than 75%, there should be another referendum," the petition's website says.
MPs will have to consider the petition for a debate as it has raised more than 100 000 signatures.
However, lawmakers do not have the obligation to set a referendum.
Before the June 23 vote, British Prime Minister David Cameron had warned there would be no second referendum, responding to statements by UKIP leader Nigel Farage that a narrow win by the Remain camp would trigger demands for a rerun.
The petition also comes against the backdrop of some British voters admitting they either voted thinking their ballot would not make any difference or without being sure what the implications would be.
