The Bulgarian men's national volleyball suffered a third consecutive defeat in this year's edition of the FIVB volleyball World League.
On Sunday, Bulgaria lost 1-3 (25:20, 18:25, 17:25, 22:25) to reigning Olympic champion Russia.
In its first two matches, played respectively on Friday and Saturday, Bulgaria was defeated by Poland and Serbia with 1-3 and 0-3.
The remaining teams in Group 1 are Brazil, the reigning European champion France, Italy, the USA, Belgium, Iran, Argentina and Australia.
At present, Bulgaria occupies the eleventh place in the ranking with no points, with only Australia having a worse score after the first round.
In the next round which will last from Thursday to Saturday, Bulgaria will play successively with Iran, Serbia and Brazil.
In the third round of Group 1, which is to be played between July 1 and 3, Bulgaria will encounter the teams of the USA, Russia and Australia.
The top five teams in the final ranking of Group 1 together with the host nation Poland will qualify for the final round, which will take place in Krakow between July 13 and 17.
