A ban on the movement of TIR trucks at temperatures above 35 degrees Celsius is to be revoked, trade unions, police, and the government's road infrastructure agency agreed on Sunday.

Additionally, transit trucks passing through Bulgarian territory will not be stopped on Saturdays and Sundays unless they are entering the territory of a city on a Sunday or a road section where a high number of traffic collisions have occurred.

At a meeting bringing together the Union of Bulgarian Transport Workers, the Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA), and traffic police (KAT), calls of road haulage workers were heeded according to which truckers will not have to conform to any timetable except for one with precise days and hours to pull over.
