Bulgaria: Bulgarian Photographer in Reuters' Pulitzer-Winning Team

Bulgarian photographer Stoyan Nenov is part of of the Thomson Reuters staff that won a Pulitzer Prize in Breaking News Photography on Monday.

Nenov has received the award along with seven other photographers and a team of New York Times for covering the migrant crisis.

The photo that placed him into the list of winners shows a Macedonian policeman trying to stop a migrant from boarding a train through a window at Gevgelija train station, not far from the border with Greece.

It was taken on the border between Greece and Macedonia in August 2015, at the beginning of the migrant crisis last year when "there was no camp yet and people walked two km from the border to the railway station and lived there," daily 24 Chasa quotes Nenov as saying.

"There were three trains daily with no room for everyone at all."
