Grigor Dimitrov, Bulgaria's highest-ranking tennis player, has returned to the 28th spot in the global chart following defeats in the Monte-Carlo Masters tennis tournament.

Last week he lost to Gilles Simon (France), dropping out in the second round, while last year he had made it to the quarterfinals.

Since the end of 2014, he has climbed down nearly 20 spots, from being in the ATP's top 10.
