Bulgaria: Bulgaria Air Cancels Friday's Flights Between Sofia, Brussels

The national flag carrier Bulgaria Air has cancelled flights between Sofia and Brussels, which were scheduled to take place on Friday.

The airline cancelled flight FB 407A, which was scheduled to depart from Sofia to Brussels at 17:40 EET, as well as flight FB 408A, which was scheduled to arrive at the Bulgarian capital at 23:55 EET.

The flights operated by Wizz Air between Sofia and Charleroi airport will be conducted according to schedule.

Since the twin bombings at the departure hall of Zaventem airport on Tuesday, flights into and out of the airport have been suspended.

Continuing forensic investigation is preventing the access to the building, making it impossible to assess the level of damage sustained by the airport.

According to the latest information, the airport will remain closed on Thursday and Friday.

The terrorist attacks at the airport followed by an explosion at the Maelbeek metro station claimed the lives of at least 31 people and left hundreds other injured.
