Sofia Airport has announced no Bulgaria Air flights to Brussels will take place on Wednesday, after the measure was in force the day before.

The announcement comes after the attacks in Brussels on Tuesday that targeted Zaventem international airport and the Maelbeek metro station. At least 31 people died, while up to 230 were injured, some of them seriously.

Flights FB 407A, which was to take off at 17:40 local time, and FB 408A, which was to land from Zaventem ad 23:55, have been cancelled, Sofia Airport says.

Zaventem airport is expected to remain closed for several days.

Wizz Air flights to Brussels are not affected as of the moment, with flight No W64328 from Charleroi airport scheduled to land at 12:10.
