Bulgaria hopes that Turkish authorities will swiftly find the organizers of the Saturday attack on Istanbul's Istiklal Avenues, the Foreign Ministry of the country has said.
"It is with sadness and indignation that we are following today [Saturday]'s tragic evebts in the most famous and lively part of the center of Istanbul. Just six days after the bloodbath in the capital Ankara, which took away the lives of 37 people, in neighboring Turkey, a friend and ally, innocent victims are again claimed to terror," a statement by Bulgarian Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov reads.
At least five people, including the attacker, died and other thirty-six were injured in a suicide explosion on Istiklal Street in Turkey's biggest city.
Turkish officials, quoted by Reuters, have announced that the Islamic State (IS) group or the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) might have been behind the attack.
