Both the right lane and the local lane of a section of Bulgaria Blvd in Sofia will remain closed for the next two years, in the direction leading out of the capital.

The restriction will be in force for the section between the junction of Bulgaria and Acad. Ivan E. Geshov Blvds and Ruchey Square, for a period between March 09, 2016 and March 31, 2018, local authorities have said.

Bulgaria Blvd is a major thoroughfare for those leaving Sofia, commuting or traveling to the southern neighborhoods.

Changes to the routes of trolleybus lines 2 and 9 will be in force for the respective period.

Other changes to city traffic were earlier implemented in relation to the building of the third metro line.
