The Hungarian low-cost airline will operate flights between the Bulgarian capital and the second largest city of Georgia starting from September 24.

The flights between Sofia and Kutaisi will be carried out twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

The tickets are already on sale, with the prices starting from EUR 29.99.

Sofia is one of the seven new destinations which will become accessible from Kutaisi at the end of September.

On Wednesday, Wizz Air announced that it will begin base operations at David the Builder Kutaisi International Airport.

Apart from the service to Sofia, the airline will also fly twice weekly to Berlin Schonefeld, Munich Memmingen, Milan Bergamo, Dortmund and Larnaca, while the flights to Thessaloniki will be operated three times a week.
