The Irish low-cost airline Ryanair will start operating daily flights between the Bulgarian and Greek capitals from October 30.

The tickets for the Sofia-Athens route will go on sale on February 23, with the prices starting from EUR 24.99.

Since the beginning of the year, the company has considerably expanded the list of destinations accessible from Sofia.

Last week, Ryanair announced the addition of five new routes to its winter schedule starting from October 30.

From the end of October, the company will operate daily flights to Berlin and Cologne, Madrid (five weekly), Barcelona (four weekly) and Hamburg (thrice weekly).

Previously, the airline had also added flights to Brussels Charleroi, Dublin, Milan Malpensa and Rome Ciampino.

Ryanair will start operating its first flights from Sofia to Pisa and London Stansted in April, with the other routes becoming operational in October and November.
