Saddam's Opposition Consolidates

Iraqi opposition groups are meeting in London to try to overcome their differences and map out a joint vision for a post-Saddam Hussein Iraq. More than 300 delegates, including independents and representatives from more than 50 parties, will discuss plans for a future government in Iraq. The opposition has been under increasing pressure from Washington to unite ahead of a possible military strike against the Iraqi President. The conference has been arranged by six major opposition factions which have the tacit support of the United States.
