Will Bulgaria Have a Stable Government After Yet Another Election in June? Our Readers Have Spoken
On our Facebook page, readers were asked about Bulgaria's stability after the June elections
Bulgaria said on Wednesday that it is “deeply concerned” by North Korea’s announcement of a nuclear test.
If the announcement is confirmed, "a fourth nuclear test would be a drastic violation of resolutions 1718 (2006), 1874 (2009), 2087 (2013) and 2094 (2013) of the UN Security Council and the safeguards agreement with the IAEA,” the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The ministry described the nuclear weapons test as a “provocative act” that would increase tensions and hamper the efforts to find a solution to the nuclear problem on the Korean Peninsula.
“Once again we urge North Korea to cease its nuclear and ballistic program, and to engage constructively with the international community to achieve peace and stability in Northeast Asia,” the Foreign Ministry said.
