Home Sweet Home: The Reality of Housing in Bulgaria Revealed
New data from the National Statistical Institute (NSI) sheds light on the housing landscape in Bulgaria, painting a picture of the majority of Bulgarians residing in older homes.
The US sports magazine Sports Illustrated identified the highest ranking Bulgarian male tennis player Grigor Dimitrov as the disappointment of the year in men’s tennis.
According to the magazine, “expectation is continuing to trounce achievement”.
The evaluation of the magazine is not surprising considering Dimitrov’s poor season, in which he did not win any tournament and his performance radically differed from the one demonstrated in 2014.
This is clearly seen in his drop in the ATP ranking, where he currently occupies the 28th position.
The most memorable moments during this year were probably his two victories over Roger Federer and Gael Monfils in exhibition matches.
Dimitrov also disappointed the Bulgarian audience by refusing to play in a vital Davis Cup play-off against Hungary.
The Bulgarian will most probably also skip the first ATP 250 tournament to be held in Bulgaria, which will take place in Sofia in February next year.
The magazine identified Eugenie Bouchard as the women’s disappointment of the year.
Expectedly, Serena Williams and Novak Djokovic were identified as respectively the women’s and men’s player of the year.
