With the Schengen borderless area going through "a challenge", it is not the right moment for Bulgaria to insist on joining, Austria's Ambassador to the country, Roland Hauser, has said.

He has told the Bulgarian National Radio that the EU Commission is considering changes to the Schengen agreement which will "certainly" be substantial, and Sofia should seek membership when the new framework is ready.

This comes as Bulgaria's Deputy Prime Minister Meglena Kuneva has repeatedly suggested the country should get access to the Schengen database to be more efficient in border protection.

Schengen membership has been in limbo for Bulgaria over the past 8 years, with the final date constantly postponed by other member states some of which argue the country is to fulfill a number of political or technical criteria (some countries, like the Netherlands, have been staunch opponents of Bulgaria's accession).

The ambassador asserted that a viable solution to the migrant crisis requires the setting up of migrant hotspots and a bolstered control of the EU's external borders.

Bulgaria's government argues it has enforced border security at its joint frontier with Turkey.

Several years ago an intelligence official explained on You tube, that Austria has the largest amount of jihadists on its territory, and they are very capable and if mobilized can take the entire Austrian army and the Austrian state. Asked why the Austrians did accept them ??? he answered.. "because they hate the Russians.. that is why they gave asylum to so many fighters from the Chechen wars". good morning dear Austrians...i thing blaming us will not help you very much..

You will feel insecure and scared you will feel betrayed.. you will suffer.. for 500 years when the Bulgarian nation was subjected to countless massacres.. to nearly perpetual genocide and enslavement you did not made a single attempt to interfere.. it is your time now.. we have found peace of mind.. but will have new experiences.

We are not going to run concentration camps on our territory... if immigrants want to reach Austria and Germany and Austria and Germany consistently, irresponsibly and arrogantly ignored the geopolitical realities and did nothing to strengthen the border of EU, than it is their fault.. we alone can not repair all the wrong doings, stupidity and selfish desires of the protected core of Europe..you will not be protected any more... you will feel the way we feel.
