Main ruling GERB party's Deputy Chair Tsvetan Tsvetanov warned on Wednesday his political organization does not need a complicated partner that would raise tensions in government.

Tsvetanov's remarks, made from the rostrum in Parliament after a final vote was held on constitutional changes, were a reference to the Reformist Bloc, the junior coalition partner to GERB in the Bulgarian government.

Democrats for Strong Bulgaria (DSB), one of the RB parties, switched to opposition last week, citing disagreement over amendments made by lawmakers to sections of a judicial reform proposal.

DSB leader Radan Kanev also suggested he would continue to support the coalition if Prime Minister Boyko Borisov agrees to a new government.

Tensions grew between the DSB and GERB, but also between DSB and its other partners in the Reformis Bloc (a loose coalition of parties) after Justice Minister Hristo Ivanov resigned.

However, the RB itself announced on Tuesday it demanded to revise its coalition agreement with GERB, later warning it might withdraw from the government if its proposal is not heard.
