Bulgaria: Bulgarian Authorities Detain 37 Illegal Migrants on Trakia Motorway

Bulgarian traffic police detained on Monday a total of 37 illegal migrants hidden in the cargo compartment of a minibus traveling on Trakia motorway.

Following a check of the microbus, the authorities uncovered 37 Syrian citizens - thirteen men, fourteen women and ten children.

The minibus was traveling on the motorway in the direction of Sofia and was driven by a 42-year-old man from the town of Panagyurishte.

None of the Syrians was in the possession of identity documents.

The illegal migrants and the driver have been detained for 24 hours, Darik radio informs.
