Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu will pay a working visit to Bulgaria on Tuesday, the Bulgarian government press office has announced.

Davutoglu will discuss cooperation between Sofia and Ankara on tackling migratory pressure as well as other topics of common interest with his Bulgarian counterpart Boyko Borisov, the press office said on Monday.

In addition to border security issues Borisov and Davutoglu are also expected to discuss the latest EU-Turkey action plan adopted last month, according to earlier media reports.

A meeting with Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev is also in the agenda of Ahmet Davutoglu’s visit.

Challenges to security posed by the migration crisis in Europe and cooperation in border control management were in the focus of discussions between Borisov and Davutoglu in Istanbul in October.
