Bulgaria: Tickets for First ATP Tournament in Sofia Go on Sale on Wednesday

The tickets for the first ever ATP tournament to be held in the Bulgarian capital of Sofia will go on sale on Wednesday afternoon at 17:00 EET.

The prices of the tickets, which can be purchased in the network of Eventim (online at eventim.bg), range between BGN 10 and BGN 80.

Children under the age of seven will be admitted for free, but will not be allocated a seat, while those aged seven to fourteen are entitled to a 50 % discount.

The tournament, which will be held indoors on hard surface, will take place in the Arena Armeec hall between February 1 and 7 next year.

The Garanti Koza Sofia Open will be part of the ATP World Tour 250 series, with its price amounting to EUR 453 000.

The hosting of the tournament by Bulgaria became possible after ATP decided to relocate the tournament from Zagreb to Sofia.

The draw of the tournament will take place on 30 January 2016, with the qualifications to be played between January 30 and 31.

It still remains unclear whether Bulgaria's top ranking male tennis player Grigor Dimitrov will participate in the tournament.

This will to a large extent depend on Dimitrov's performance in the Australian Open, which ends on January 31.

Among the likely participants are Guillermo Garcia-Lopez, Marcos Baghdatis, Feliciano Lopez and Lukas Rosol.

The tournament will be broadcasted in five continents with an expected audience of around 500 million people.
