Bulgaria: No Bomb on Board Turkish Plane Diverted to Canada

Canadian police have found no explosive device on board the Turkish Airlines plane flying from New York to Istanbul that was diverted to the Halifax Airport in Canada, officials say.

No "suspicions packages" were discovered as the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, according to an announcement by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police for Nova Scotia.

On Twitter, RCMP reported the investigation into the threat which had triggered the forced landing was "ongoing".

This comes after days of tensions and increased airport security worldwide over possible attacks.
