Victims of Krushuna Waterfalls Landslide Identified as British Male, Bulgarian Female

The dead bodies of two tourists killed by a landlside at Krushuna waterfalls in Bulgaria have been identified as those of a 45-year old Bulgarian female and a 57-year old British male, BTA news agency reported on Sunday.

The identification has been made on the basis of documents found at the site of the incident, according to the prosecutor’s office of Lovech Region, in central northern Bulgaria, where the incident took place on Friday. The names of the two victims were not released.

The authorities said the two bodies were taken to Lovech city for post-mortem examination.

A 42-year old Bulgarian female, who was also present at the site of the incident but escaped the landslide, is recovering from sustained injuries in hospital in Pleven city.
