The migration crisis in Europe and its impact on the Balkan region will be on the agenda of a meeting of the prime ministers of Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia in Sofia on Saturday.

Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Boyko Borisov will also discuss cooperation in infrastructure and energy sectors with his counterparts, Aleksandar Vucic of Serbia and Victor Ponta of Romania, the Bulgarian government media office announced on Friday.

Borisov and Vucic discussed last month the potential for stepping up coperation between Balkan governments in tackling the migration crisis and its consequences for  the region in a way that would be most favourable for both asylum seekers and the people of the region.
