Migrants are already entering Slovenia from Croatia after Budapest moved to close the Hungary-Croatia border, authorities in Zagreb say.

Slovenia earlier announced it would ensure that up to 8000 people are accommodated before being allowed to go on with their journey to Austria and Germany, but also cancelled two-way rail traffic with Croatia, according to Reuters reports.

Croatia's Interior Ministry announced on Saturday, that "at the Mursko Sredi??e and Macelj Border Crossing Points the transfer of migrants to the Republic of Slovenia is ongoing."

It also said that, as of Saturday morning (09:55 local time) 188 700 migrants had entered the country since the migrant crisis began. For Croatia this means mid-September when Serbia started to redirect buses with migrants to the bilateral border after Hungary moved to close some of its crossings, leaving thousands of migrants stranded at its border.
