Bulgaria: US 'Bought 610 Anti-Tank Missiles from Bulgaria'

Anti-tank guided missiles from Bulgaria are "among the most notable" arms transfers to the US army on behalf of Syrian rebels in 2014, IHS Jane's Defence has said.

Citing a document released by the UN Office of Disarmament Affairs (UNODA) IHS Jane's singles out "610 missiles for the Russian-made 9K111 Fagot anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) system together with one 9P151 launcher" and also the transfer of  eight 9K115 Metis ATGM systems to the US.

Apparently the transfers took place before Washington officially kicked off its train-and-equip program for part of the Syrian opposition.
