Bulgaria: Macedonia Launches Ohrid Film Academy, Classes Start in November

A newly-opened film institute in Macedonia’s city of Ohrid will start teaching master classes in the academic year 2015/2016 starting in November, independent.mk has reported.

The Institute of Film-Film Academy Ohrid will offer three-year master programmes in English in two departments: screenplay writing and dramaturgy, and creative production.

The teaching courses have been specially adapted for the Macedonian film academy in accordance with the standards, principles and long tradition of the Czech Republic’s Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts (FAMU). The opening of the film teaching facility in Ohrid is the result of a long-term collaboration between the governments of Macedonia and the Czech Republic and Prague-based FAMU.

The enrollment process at the Film Institute-Film Academy Ohrid is open until October 4. Interviews with the candidates will be held on October 13-14.
