The second day of anti-terror marches protesting the deadly attacks conducted by the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) on Turkish security officials resulted in violence across the country.

Ultranationalist protesters attacked on Tuesday the headquarters of the pro-Kurdish Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) in Ankara and local offices across the country.

The protesters threw stones at the headquarters in the Turkish capital and set in on fire, Anadolu Agency informs.

Meanwhile, in the province of Kirsehir, the party's local office was attacked by participants in a march of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP).

There, the violence erupted when around 150 men set on fire four shops owned by Kurdish businessmen.

The fire destroyed the buildings, but fortunately no casualties were suffered.

There were also attempts to attack local HDP offices in other provinces – Balikesir, Izmir, Adana, Malatya, Kocaeli, Corum, Tekirdag, Aydin and Eskisehir.

The first day of anti-terror marches on Monday saw protesters trying to lynch seasonal Kurdish workers residing in a district of Ankara.

The anti-terror protests came in response to a roadside bomb which had claimed the lives of sixteen Turkish troops in the Daglica district in the southeastern province of Hakkari on Sunday.

Following this, thirteen police officers were killed in Igdir province.

Turkey responded by launching a new series of airstrikes on PKK bases in northern Iraq and deploying ground troops across the border.
