A 21-year-old man purportedly linked to the Islamic State [IS] group was arrested while trying to cross into Bulgaria from a check point at the border with Turkey, police say.

The young IS affiliate was sought with an Interpol Red Notice, according to daily Standart which quoted police sources.

Eymur Daselajin (English-language spelling might be incorrect but could not be verified) or a person bearing a familiar name, however, cannot be found on the Red Notice list in Interpol's database.

The man has been placed in custody at a Haskovo detention center for 72 hours. Standart reports that we has escorted to the facility under "extremely tight security measures."
