The forum, organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), will take place on August 31 – September 2, 2015 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, according to a media statement of Bulgaria’s Parliament.

Tsacheva will also participate in the Tenth Meeting of Women Speakers of Parliament, scheduled to take place on August 29-30, at the UN Headquarters in New York.

Tsacheva will make a statement on the topic of innovative democratic solutions for guaranteeing equal treatment in decision-making processes and bodies.

Tsacheva’s agenda also includes a meeting with the Bulgarian community in New York.

The Fourth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament will be officially inaugurated on Monday in the presence of Saber Chowdhury, IPU President, Ban Ki-moon, United Nations Secretary-General, and Sam K. Kutesa, President of UN General Assembly.

On Wednesday, the conference will be closed with the adoption of a Final Declaration.
