Four attacks, some of them carried out by the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants, have killed at least six police and army personnel in Turkey on Monday, according to Turkish media reports.

A police officer and two assailants have been killed following a car bomb attack against a police station in Istanbul’s Sultanbeyli district, broadcaster CNNTurk reported. The car bomb exploded at around 1 a.m., wounding seven civilians and three police officers, Istanbul Police said. Meanwhile, parts of the police station collapsed and surrounding buildings were damaged as a fire erupted due to the explosion. 

Two attackers opened fire on the U.S. consulate building in Istanbul and fled when police shot back; there were no casualties, CNNTurk said. Dogan News Agency reported those involved in the attack on the consulate building in Istanbul's Sar?yer district included a man and a woman. The woman was apprehended at a house she fled to.

A mine exploded in the Silopi district of S?rnak province as armed police vehicles passed by. Four police officers were seriously wounded in the attack carried out by PKK militants and later died from their wound in hospital, Hurriyet Daily News said. Security forces have launched a operation to arrest the PKK militants who fled after the attack. Sirnak is located near Turkey's borders with both Syria and Iraq.

PKK militants opened fire by anti-aircraft guns and rocket-propelled grenades on a Sikorsky military helicopter in S?rnak province, killing one soldier and wounding a second one. The helicopter was deploying military personnel in the Beytussebap district. Turkish Army helicopters began to bombard areas where the PKK militants had fled to.
