Bulgaria’s Foreign Ministry has pledged to develop a training program for people applying for visas to the United States.

Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov told the Bulgarian National Radio Wednesday that the measure was aimed at curbing rejections issued due to formal errors.

Mitov noted that the authorities sought to make sure that Bulgarian nationals applying for visas to the United States had a clearer idea of the process of filling out documents and of the way the system functioned as a whole in order to avoid rejections triggered by formal errors.

Bulgaria’s Foreign Minister suggested that this had been one of the requirements of the US in order for them to take steps to ease visa procedures.
