Bulgaria: German Tourist Drowns in Bulgaria's Slanchev Bryag

A German tourist, aged 32, drowned in the Black Sea off the Bulgarian resort of Slanchev Bryag (Sunny Beach) on Tuesday.

This is the ninth person to fall victim to drowning on the southern Black Sea coast, daily Dnevnik informs.

The body was recovered near the lifeguard tower at the beach situated in front of the Burgas Beach hotel in the resort.

The drowned man arrived on a holiday on July 15and was staying at the Continental hotel in Sunny Beach.

Officers from the district police department in Nesebar continue to work on the case.

Dangerous rip currents have been observed on the southern Black Sea coast in the past four days and at many places going into the water is forbidden.
