In response to the Greek referendum, the Eurozone leaders have decided to discuss the stuation at an extraordinary meeting to be held Tuesday, the Bulgraian National Radio reported.

President of the European Council Donald Tusk has announced that he has called the meeting of representatives from the 19 countries participating in the currency union. He, however, refrained from commenting on the results from the Greek referendum held Sunday.

According to the results the majority of Greeks have revoked the demands of the creditors and the necessity for austerity measures.

The situation became even more difficult after the Greek ‘’No’’ and the promise of PM Alexis Tsipras that a better deal can be contracted this way has been deemed false by the statement of the President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz.

He further urged EU leaders to prepare humanitarian aid for the country, because in his words the retired people, those with diseases and children in kindergartens should not be paying the price for the dramatic situation that the government of Greece has brought about.

President of the Eurogroup Jeroen Dijsselbloem called the referendum results ‘’unfortunate to the future of Greece’’ and noted that in order for the Greek economy to recover, severe measures and reforms will be crucial.

It is expected that President of the European Commission Jean Claude Juncker will discuss the situation via teleconference with the President of the European Central Bank Mario Draghi.
