A woman aged between 20 and 30 has died after setting herself on fire in Macedonian capital Skopje, local media outlets report.
Witnesses say she poured herself with an inflammable liquid just before setting fire to her body, according to Macedonia's Utrinski vesnik.
Journalists reportedly weren't allowed access to the woman while she was still alive, suffering from tremendous body burns. She apparently died before the arrival of emergency medical aid teams.
So far neither the woman's identity nor her motives are clear.
Macedonia daily Dnevnik.mk wrote Tuesday evening that no documents or farewell letter had been found among what was found next to her and what remained of the woman's personal belongings.
