Bulgaria: Bulgaria's Employment Rate Increased by 0.3 % in Q1, 2015 - Eurostat

According to the latest figures of Eurostat, which were released on Tuesday, Bulgaria's employment rate increased by 0.3 % in the first quarter of 2015 compared to the previous quarter and by 0.8 % compared to the same quarter in 2014.

The growth of Bulgaria's employment rate was similar to the EU average, which increased by 0.3 % compared to the previous quarter and by 1.1 % compared to the same quarter in 2014.

The estimates of Eurostat showed that the number of people employed in the EU in the first quarter of 2015 amounted to 228.1 million.

Latvia and Hungary recorded the highest increases to their employment rates in the first quarter, while Greece and Malta registered decline.
