Bulgaria: Evacuated Passengers Return to Varna Airport, No Bomb Found Source: varna-airport.bg

The flight schedule at Bulgaria’s Varna Airport hasn’t been disrupted despite a security alert that triggered the evacuation of passengers from one of the airport's terminals, BGNES reported on Friday.

A suspicious piece of luggage found during routine inspection forced authorities to close the terminal at about 2 p.m. (1100 GMT) on Friday to comply with airport safety procedures.

Bomb disposal experts, who were sent in to inspect and secure the suspicious bag, found no explosive device.

Evacuated passengers have started to return to the airport terminal, according to BGNES.
