Тhe General Assembly of the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum (BBLF) has elected four members of the Management Board at an annual meeting.
Petar Ivanov, Microsoft General Manager for Bulgaria and Macedonia, and Boryana Manolova, CEO of Siemens Bulgaria, are the new members of the BBLF Management Board.
The BBLF members backed a 3-year renewal of the terms of Zoya Paunova, AstraZeneca General Manager for Bulgaria, and Maxim Behar, CEO of M3 Communications Group Inc.
The two have an outstanding contribution to the establishment of the forum as a leading organization in the sphere of ethical business and corporate social responsibility.
The new members of the BBLF Management Board vowed to work for the sustainable development of society and the economy in Bulgaria, to improve the business climate by promoting leading practices, and to protect the interests of the organization.
The delegates also adopted the report on the BBLF’s activity in 2014, as well as the financial reports for 2014, and the priorities for 2015.
The event was attended by British Ambassador to Bulgaria Emma Hopkins, who underscored the long-term partnership between the British Embassy in Sofia and the BBLF, founded with the help of Prince Charles, in her speech.
She drew attention to the role of the BBLF in promoting transparent and responsible business practices.
“We share your main priorities – the rule of law, the fight against corruption, and transparency. They will improve the business environment for both Bulgarian companies and foreign investors and will bring prosperity and help unfurl the full potential of the country. The voice of the business sector in support of reforms can be very persuasive,” Hopkins added, according to a media statement of the BBLF.
