The 2-day visit of EU Regional Policy Commissioner Corina Cretu to Bulgaria, scheduled to take place on May 28-29, has been postponed to June.

A breakdown at Brussels Airport prevented Cretu from flying to Sofia on Thursday.

Cretu was supposed to meet with Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov at the Council of Ministers building on Thursday morning and to attend the opening of Lot 2 of the Maritsa motorway in the afternoon, according to the press office of the Bulgarian government.

At 4 pm on Thursday, Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev, Regional Development Minister Lilyana Pavlova, and Transport Minister Ivaylo Moskovski will take part in the ceremony for the opening of Lot 2 of the Maritsa motorway.

The motorway section was built with EU funding under operational program Transport 2007-2013.
