‘’I haven’t seen the Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski because of the simple reason that any meeting with him or with Zoran Zaev (although I did talk to him on the phone) could be interpreted as a possible attempt for me to intervene or could be used in their inter-political battle right now,’’ said Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov. He responded to a question of whether he had met Nikola Gruevski in Rome, as they were both there at the same time, as reported by BGNES.
‘’I don’t want to interfere in this conflict,’’ Borisov added. ‘’I am hoping that the Macedonian people is wise and that its politicians are wise – let them have elections, just like we did in Bulgaria. Then they will be calm again.’’
