Bulgaria concluded its participation at the UEFA European Under-17 Championship with a 1-1 draw against Austria on Tuesday.

The Bulgarians made their best performance in their last game, earning a historic first point at their debut appearance in the football tournament.

Austria came in the lead with a goal by Filip in the 34th minute before Yordanov equalised the score in the 43rd minute.

Bulgaria remained at the bottom of Group A with one point, having lost its first two games against Croatia and Spain.

The host nation lost its opening game against Croatia with 0-2 and suffered a 1-2 defeat against Spain on Saturday.

The other game in the group, which pitted against each other the leaders Croatia and Spain, finished in a goalless draw.

Having occupied the first two places in Group A, Croatia and Spain proceed to the quarterfinals of the tournament.
