Bulgaria: Residential Building Construction in Bulgaria Remains Slow

In March 2015, Bulgarian construction sector has registered a decrease of 0,7% in work volumes as compared to the previous month.

The data has been presented through a research conducted by the National Statistical Institute (NSI).

Meanwhile, when comparing the work volumes with those from the previous year, the decrease is even more prominent - 1,8%. Out of it, building construction has been reduced by 1,1%, and civil enginerring projects have been cut by 0.2% on a monthly basis.

Overall, building construction has decreased by 10.8% on an anual basis, and has kept the same low levels since August 2014.

Meanwhile, civil engineering projects have marked a 9% increase on an annual basis, and have shown continuously better results than those in January - 7,1% and February - 8.1%.
