Ani Borisova, the 4-year-old Bulgarian girl who disappeared on April 21 in downtown Athens was murdered, according to Greek police.

According to reports of local police, as cited by the Kathimerini newspaper and the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency, the girl was killed by her 27-year-old biological father.

Police officers said they had found traces of the girl’s blood in his apartment in Athens.

Testimony given by several witnesses also confirmed the man’s guilt.

The man was allegedly a drug addict.

The body of the girl has not yet been found.

Ani Borisova disappeared in the area of Athens’ Omonia Square on April 21.

Her mother reported her disappearance to the police but she gave contradictory explanations.

According to news portal GRreporter, the girl’s father, identified as Dimitar Borisov, has been arrested and faces murder charges.

The Greek news portal informs that the two parents of the girl also face charges over illegal possession of drugs.
