Bulgaria: Bulgaria's President to Visit Azerbaijan Monday, Tuesday

Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev is to be in Azerbaijan on Monday afternoon and on Tuesday, his press office has said.

After hosting the Consultative Council for National Security at the Presidency in Sofia, Plevneliev is to set off for Azerbaijan's capital Baku, where he is to attend the Third Global Shared Societies Forum organized by Nizami Ganjavi International Center.

A meeting with Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev has also been scheduled.

This year's Nizami Ganjavi event is themed "Building Trust in Emerging World Order", and Plevneliev's speech on Tuesday is to be titled "Key Challenges to World Order".

Before that, Plevneliev is to receive the Nizami Gandjavi international award for contribution to intercultural communication. Politicians who have been awarded with it include US President (1992-2000) Bill Clinton, former US Secretary of State (1973-1977) Henry Kissinger, former UK ex-PM Margaret Thatcher (1979-1990) and UN Secretary-General Boutros Boutros-Ghali.
