US EMBASSY IN SOFIA TEMPORARILY CLOSED

The American Embassy to Bulgaria will be temporarily closed in connection with a campaign, launched by the US government for information of American citizens what security measures to take when they are abroad. The Government campaign is taking place from May 29 to September 22. The American Embassy in Sofia will open as soon as possible. On the other hand 24 Hours Daily announces that unknown suitcase was found next to the US consulate and it may caused the closing of the embassy. If necessary, only American citizens can ask for cooperation or more information at +359 2 937 5200, embassy announced.
