European Parliament Passes Law to Restrict Cash Payments to €10,000
The European Parliament has voted to impose a €10,000 limit on cash payments within the European Union
''We do not agree with sanctions,'' stated Greek PM Alexis Tsipras in an interview for TASS information agency regarding EU-imposed economic measures against Russia, following the tensions in Ukraine.''I believe this is a road to nowhere. I support the point of view that there is a need for a dialogue and diplomacy.''
''I called him [European Council President Donald Tusk] and also [EU foreign policy chief] Federica Mogherini and told them: "Don’t think that Greece’s position is pretty much a given, the situation has changed and now there is another government in Greece. And now you should ask us before you take the decisions," he added.
The issue of the new EU security policy was also discussed.
"In my understanding, the answer is clear: the new European security architecture should also include Russia," noted Tsipras.
