No information is available at the moment whether any Bulgarian nationals have been affected by the shooting incident in Tunis, an official said on Wednesday.

Information about the number of people killed and injured is very contradictory, Sofia-based Focus news outlet quoted Bulgarian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Betina Zhoteva as saying.

The Foreign Ministry is keeping in touch with the Bulgarian Embassy in Tunis to find out the exact number of the victims and their nationality, Zhoteva said.

According to unconfirmed media reports from Tunis, at least eight people including seven foreign tourists had been  killed after a shooting took place earlier in the day in the Bardo National Museum in central Tunis, which is adjacent to the Parliament building.
