General Sir Adrian Bradshaw, NATO Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe, will arrive in Bulgaria on Tuesday on an official two-day visit.

During his visit, he will meet with Bulgaria’s Deputy Defense Minister Dimitar Kyumyurdzhiev and Bulgaria’s Chief of Defense, Vice-Admiral Rumen Nikolov.

General Bradshaw will also visit the 68th Special Forces Brigade, according to a media statement of Bulgaria’s Defense Ministry.

The agenda of the meetings in Bulgaria includes topics such as the generation of forces for operational missions of NATO, future cooperation in the NATO context, the organization of joint exercises with the Bulgarian Army, as well as operation Resolute Support in Afghanistan, the development of the crisis in Ukraine, and other issues related to the Balkan region.

General Bradshaw has been NATO Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe since March 2014.

His main responsibilities include the generation of forces for operational missions and the coordination of interaction between NATO and the European Union.

General Bradshaw is a British Army Officer who has been the Deputy Commander of the ISAF in Afghanistan and has commanded the Land Forces of the United Kingdom.
