The US has decided on monitoring air quality around its embassies across the world.

The statement was made by the US State Secretary John Kerry on Monday.

After the data is collected it will be published on the official websites of the respective embassies, so that US citizens travelling there can be more aware of the situation. The information was pointed out as extremely important especially for people with respiratory problems.

Additionally, Kerry stated that he hopes for strengthening of the inter-government collaboration on eliminating air pollution.

It is not yet decided whether Moscow will be included in the list, but no further details could be disclosed at the moment according to a government press official.

Meanwhile, director of the Executive Environment Agency in Bulgaria - Vanya Grigorova said last November that there is no official information available in the country on the correlation between air pollution and health issues.

In March 2014 Bulgaria was pointed out as the EU country with highest pollution levels in a WHO report. Major cities were in the lead in the negative chart - Sofia, Plovdiv, Dobrich, Pleven, Veliko Tarnovo and Pernik.
